Omega 3 Rich Smoked Mackerel Pâté


Trying to up the amount of fish in your diet? Well, here is a great way of getting a super healthy, omega 3 rich fish into your diet in a delicious and easy way. Smoked Mackerel Pâté made with just three ingredients.

Smoked Mackerel Pâté

1 packet of smoked mackerel (usually 3 fillets in a pack)

1/2 tub of cottage cheese

Juice of 1 large lemon

Any fresh herbs you have (optional)

(Freshly ground salt and pepper if fish is not already seasoned in the pack)

Remove the skin from the mackerel fillets. Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Chill for a few hours and serve. The Pâté lasts up to three days in the fridge and is perfect as a main meal with a big salad and some toasted rye bread/wholegrain pitta or as a snack on an oatcake topped with some raw vegetables.
