Boost Immunity This Winter!

I worked with a lovely group from Microsoft this morning, running a workshop called "Super Immunity": A practical session on how to boost immunity and health and reduce the risk of infection and disease.

With our lives so busy, sometimes health and wellness gets pushed to the bottom of our priority list. What we need are practical, easy to implement habits that fit into our busy lives and improve wellbeing.

Today's group got five practical habits to work on implementing and here's tip number one!

Habit No. 1: Eat More Plants

How to optimise gut health (and our enteric nervous system which is embedded in the lining of the gastrointestinal system) and in turn boost both physical and emotional\mental health.

Eat More!

All vegetables and fruits contain protective micronutrients and phytochemicals which strengthen immunity. Variety in your plants is key to making sure you get a great range of different vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals.

Some of the plants that are said to be powerful immunity boosters include:

Greens

Mushrooms

Onions & garlic

Berries & Pomegranates

Seeds & nuts
