All Natural Granola Bars
ALL NATURAL GRANOLA BARS
Ingredients
300g pitted dates
Pinch of bread soda
120ml coconut oil
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
500g rolled oats
200g cashew nuts broken into smaller pieces (or could use seeds for “nut free”)
2 bananas mashed
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Method
Preheat your oven to 150 degrees Celsius
Put dates in a pot with pinch of bread soda and enough water to cover them. Cooke them for about 20 minutes until mushy. Then add coconut oil, vanilla extract and mushy bananas, and place mixture in a good blender. Pour mixture into a bowl and add cinnamon, oats and nuts (or seeds). Spread the mixture on a
a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 25 minutes, then allow to cool in the tray, before slicing into bars. I packed them all away in a zip lock bag for the freezer
