Reawakening your ABDOMINALS ... beginners workout
The core and abdominal areas are vital for the effective functioning of our whole body and keeping this region in good shape not only helps avoid injury but also keeps us feeling strong and toned.
I have many clients who come to me looking for help strengthening & toning the abdominals. Some overcoming surgery, others have have gone through one or more pregnancies and many more who have just neglected this region for a number of years and are ready to take on the challenge of reawakening the muscles again!
I am developing a series of abdominal exercises for beginners over the coming months and would love those of you who are keen to rebuild abdominal muscles to give this journey a go and keep in touch to let me know how you are getting on.
The first seven exercises I have demonstrated in this video are gentle but effective, however you do need to give 10-15 minutes every day to practice. You'll be amazed how quickly you start to feel your muscles working if you practice consistently. Make sure you have got the ok from your doctor before commencing any abdominal exercises.
So I am suggesting you try to complete 10 repetitions of each exercise before moving onto the next one. There are 7 exercises in this workout. Make sure to engage your abdominals during each exercise and go slowly at your own pace.
If you experience any pain, stop the exercise and rest. This should be challenging but never painful!
